Marcos Benjoar

Marcos Benjoar is the Security Manager at International SOS. He began his journey at International SOS in February 2022, joining the Madrid office. His international background, having lived in France and the UK, allowed him to refine his language skills in French and English, in addition to his native Spanish and Hebrew. Academically, he pursued Political Science and International Relations at the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Manchester.

Marcos gained diplomatic insights during his tenure at the Spanish Consulate in Paris, where he engaged with key aspects of diplomatic operations. He furthered his expertise by completing a Master’s in Security and Defence at Antonio de Nebrija University in Madrid. This academic journey included an internship with the Spanish National Police Corps, focusing on private security.

At International SOS, Marcos has specialised in security consultancy, undertaking diverse projects such as evacuation plans, escalation matrices, and security assessments. His experience also includes multiple field deployments in collaboration with clients .He also developed expertise in Crisis Management, executing mandates in multiple languages and becoming a key expert in Spanish-language operations. Concurrently, he was selected for the National Security Course for Young Professionals at CESEDEN, one of Europe’s most prestigious programmes in security and defence. The course, led by senior military officers, diplomats, and industry experts, is highly competitive, selecting only 30 participants annually. Marcos successfully completed the program in late 2023.
