Dr Dave Knight

Dr Knight joined International SOS in 2000 and has since worked in a number of countries across the network. With interests in heavy metal toxicology, economic evaluation and malaria control, he has worked with a variety of multinational companies across Europe, Africa, Australia and USA, conducting health risk assessments, and structuring and advising on occupational and corporate health programmes. Dr Knight was lead author on a recent study on silicosis in the South African underground / gold mining industry and has ongoing research interest in the epidemiology of silicosis, and occupational lung disease and asthma. He has also advised the International Council of Mining and Metals on silica dust, and co-authored guidelines on malaria, HIV/TB and fatigue management. Dr Knight is a member of the Society of Occupational Medicine (UK), The South African Society of Occupational Medicine and the International Commission on Occupational Health.
